Kanagold - Placer Gold Claim - Fraser River, BC

Claim: 1061963
Type: Placer Gold Claim
Location: Lytton, British Columbia

This single cell placer tenure comprises approximately 50 acres on the Fraser River at Kanaka bar.  A quick 2.5-hour drive or less from the lower mainland, Kamloops, and Kelowna.

The claim sits right on a location originally known as Davis Bar and was mined around 1860 during the original Fraser River gold rush.  Large scale historical sluice parts are still present on the claim and indicate its history and potential prospects.  Alarge bench that appears to contain an older river channel sits in the bench and terminates into bedrock just south of the claim.  This is an excellent claim for someone who wants a location with proximity and excellent high-banking prospects.  The ground encompasses half a kilometer of water frontage on the East side of the Fraser with a very large cobble flat that dries completely during low water.

The mining season here is 10-12 months a year with temperate weather and very little precipitation.  A good 2-wheel drive road provides access to North edge of the claim and access to the water is a short 15-minute hike.
