Claims: 1062016, 1066018
Type: Placer Gold Claim
Location: Lytton, British Columbia

This set of placer gold claims is located on the eastern banks of the Fraser River near Lytton, BC.  The property comprises roughly 153 acres covering a low flat, substantial boulder and cobble banks, and a large bar that dries in low water.  The ground is easily accessible via a 10 minute hike or ATV accessible trail.

This claims feature water frontage along the entire length providing over a full kilometre of river frontage.  The ground is easily traversed and presents panning and high banking opportunities on the huge bar and banks, in addition to the significant flat.  The area sees very little snowfall and remains mineable nearly all year long.

The Kanaka flat was discovered as part of the Fraser River gold rush when it was known as Siwash Flat and worked by hand around 1860.  An old claim post remains in a boulder pile on the present claim.
