This placer gold claim is located in the heart of the Tulameen River country and occupies the river frontage on both sides with a mixture of gravels and bedrock exposures. The total claim area is just over 51 acres and features a combination of ATV accessible river frontage, as well as benches of both bedrock outcrops and gravel deposits.
The Tulameen River area hosts one of the few significant placer platinum occurrences in the world and has the rare combination of placer gold and platinum in the same deposits with ratios as high as 1:1 noted in the geological files. BC mineral files estimate crude gold production for the entire Tulameen River between 1885 and 1945 at 297,000 grams or approximately 9,500 ounces. Tulameen platinum production has also been recorded.
