Location: Lillooet, British Columbia
This is an exceptionally unique opportunity to mine a large bar on the Fraser River. The claim is comprised of five adjoining cells covering over 253 acres. The placer title encompasses both sides of the Fraser river and a very large island bar. The location, just South of Lillooet, BC provides a near year-round mining season, a local supply centre, and is within a few hours of both the lower mainland. Road access currently exists to the river area.
There is roughly 1.5km of water frontage along the claim's entire length. The bar area is approximately 35 acres at mid-water level and expands significantly during low water periods. This location was historically known as "Island Bar" when it was worked by hand circa 1860. The South end of the claim encompasses another shoreline bar that was also historically worked in the 1800s. A gold bearing tributary stream also joins the property from the West.
River levels recede dramatically from mid-summer onwards exposing substantial gravels on both the bar and shores providing significant panning and high banking options with ample opportunity for more significant development.
