Out East 2 - Placer Gold Claim - Eastgate, BC

Title: 1092470
Type: Placer Gold Claim
Location: Eastgate, British Columbia

The Out East 2 claim covers just over 100 acres centred along the Similkameen River and centrally located in Southwestern BC within easy reach of Kamloops, Kelowna, and the lower mainland. The ground is comprised of several inside bends, gravel bars, and a significant bedrock exposure stretching across the Similkameen River.

Ready access is available to both sides of the river and to both ends of the tenure.  A bridge crossing near the West end of the claim allows for crossing of the river while an additional access point is available directly from the highway at the claim's Northeast end.  The claim comprises approximately 750 meters of water frontage on each side with bedrock at shallow depths suitable for hand excavations and panning.  As water receded mid-summer onwards several gravel bars expose and provide high banking opportunities.  The Similkameen River can typically be worked for about eight months each year from March to November with progressively lower water levels exposing additional gravels from mid-June onwards.

Basic supplies and fuel can be had from the Eastgate area just a few minutes away and Princeton is a short 30 minute drive where full services are available.  There are numerous camping options in the immediate vicinity including a large flat trailer accessible riverfront spot just west of the claim, and Copper Creek camp ground 10-minutes East on Highway 3.
