The Jack of Gold placer gold claim is situated directly on the historic Jack of Clubs Creek minutes from the Quesnel-Barkerville Highway along a level access road extending five minutes from the main highway right onto the centre of the claim.
The ground on this claim encompasses approximately 60 mineable acres bisected by Jack of Clubs and Slough creeks. Two large bends add to the water exposure on the claim providing about 600 meters of creek frontage on both sides. An exceptional feature of this ground is the exposure to Tucker Lake and upper Slough Creek providing ample water sources and additional exploration opportunity.
The terrain is a mix of low bench gravels, highly mineralized seams of cobble running on a higher bench, and a significant low terrace terminating in a bedrock exposure. This claim presents significant mining opportunities and potential for small-scale machine operation with ready access for equipment.
Historical records through 1949 indicate 6,916 ounces of gold were mined from Jack of Clubs Creek with an additional 30,000+ ounce recorded from Slough Creek.
