Claim: 1040652 & 1067113
Type: Placer Gold Claim
Location: Dease Lake - Cassiar, British Columbia

The McDame Placer gold claim is ideally located within the historic stretch of McDame Creek - between Snow (Snowy) Creek and 3rd North Fork Creek - in the vicinity of the rich Christie Lead.  The claim is 10km as the crow flies from the old town of Centreville and covers six cells encompassing just over 99 Hectares (245 Acres) including nearly a mile of creek frontage covering both the East and West sides of McDame Creek.

The location, access, and terrain of this claim are suited to support any size of equipment right through to a full scale operation.  Two existing roads enter the property from highway 37 allowing ready access to both the bench and creek.   Benches are indicative of prior stream course activity and terminate in a bedrock exposure that intrudes across the bench to the creek level.

McDame Creek lies in a broad, glaciofluvial drift-filled valley which parallels the northeast margin of the Early Cretaceous Cassiar granitic batholith.  The underlying rocks are quartzites, argillites and limestones of the Sylvester Allochthon (Mississippian-Permian) which strike east-southeast and dip steeply north. The boulders in McDame Creek are composed of quarzite, limestone, volcanic breccia and granite. Gold has been most abundant in the bottom 1.2 metres of gravel, occurring as 6 metre thick lenses on top of sand.

BC Minfile indicates 1,118 Kilograms (or 64,117 ounces) of recorded gold production from McDame Creek.  The source of the placer gold is gold-quartz veins (up to 2.5 metres wide) found in abundance within the Sylvester Allochthon rocks between Pooley and Quartzrock creeks.

This claim has an ongoing test program and is eligible for a financing option, contact us today for details.
