Title: 1068309
Type: Placer Gold and Platinum Claim
Location: Tulameen, British Columbia

This claim is located between the town of Tulameen and the town of Coalmont on the historic Kettle Valley Railway trail.  The river area on the claim is easily accessed with an ATV on the North side or a short 10-15 minute hike on the South side.

The claim has numerous areas of exploration interest that are suitable for both panning or increased volumes may be worked by high banking. Two significant gravel bars expose more working area as water levels recede from mid-June onwards.  In addition to prospective areas near the present river several areas of interest are located further in-stream including a very defined dry channel and some low-lying flats.

The Tulameen River area hosts one of the few significant combined placer gold & platinum occurrences in the world with ratios of the precious metals as high as 1:1 noted in the geological files.  The BC mineral file estimates crude gold production for the entire Tulameen River between 1885 and 1945 at 297,000 grams or approximately 9,500 ounces.  Tulameen platinum production has also been recorded.
