Type: Legacy Placer Gold and Platinum Claim
Location: Tulameen, British Columbia

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a legacy placer claim area on the Tulameen River.  Located right at the confluence of the Tulameen River and Jim Kelly Creek this gold and platinum claim covers over 660 acres.  The ground can be accessed via any type of vehicle over well maintained roads in ~2 hours from all major centres in Southwestern BC including the lower mainland, Kamloops, and Kelowna.

The property features over 3km of water access/frontage split between the Tulameen River and Jim Kelly Creek.  The claim has a mix of bedrock canyon on Jim Kelly Creek emerging onto low benches at the confluence of the river and creek and onward downstream.  Many good-sized gravel bars expose during the summer months.

The Tulameen River area hosts one of the few significant placer platinum occurrences in the world and has the rare combination of placer gold and platinum in the same deposits with ratios as high as 1:1 noted in the geological files.  The BC mineral file estimates crude gold production for the entire Tulameen River between 1885 and 1945 at 297,000 grams or approximately 9,500 ounces.  Tulameen platinum production has also been recorded - nuggets produced at a hydraulic mine just below Britton Creek weighed 7.8 to 15.6 grams (Geological Survey of Canada Memoir 26, page 132).
