Claim: 1064136 Type: Placer Gold Claim Location: Lytton, British Columbia
This single cell placer mining claim comprises approximately 50 acres within easy reach of the lower mainland and the interior. This is a very unique claim with an incredible bar that dries out completely in low water periods plus nearly a kilometre of combined water frontage on both sides of the river. The bar exposure is about 5 acres in size on this property.
Access is presently via short ATV-accessible trail leading right to the corner of the claim. Alternately a level campsite with road access suitable for a large trailer sits on crown land just a 5 minute walk away from the South edge of the claim. This is one of those rare Fraser River gems that is easily accessible, features great camping, interesting history, and is mineable 10-12 months a year. Old claim posts and sluice runs still appear on the property from when it was discovered and hand worked as early as 1860 during the Fraser River gold rush.
