The Sugar High claim group is located 12km Northwest of Wells, BC and comprises over 750 acres including 1.5km of Sugar Creek as well as substantial portions of major tributaries.
Ready access is provided via a good road paralleling the creek on the Southeastern side and additional roads are located on the property that provide an option to reopen as exploration and mining progress.
British Columbia mineral records indicate that placer gold has been found, and worked, on Sugar Creek since the early 1860s. From 1879 to 1895 the estimated combined production of Hardscrabble and Sugar Creeks totalled about 5,180 ounces (161,098 grams).
