Claim: 1065311 & 1070525
Type: Placer Gold Claim
Trout Creek - Okanagan, British Columbia
Within easy reach of all of Southwestern BC the Trout Bench claim group is readily accessible and has a long working season of nine months or more. The Trout Creek Mainline road connects through the claim allowing access from all directions including the Summerland area to the Southeast, Princeton to the Southwest, or from the Hwy 97 connector to the North.
Once on the claim a quick hike or ride down the ATV suitable trail descends directly to the creek - this road could be easily improved for 4x4 access. The Trout Creek drainage produces angular gold particles originating around the North Trout creek tributary - indicative of a source nearby (BC Minfile North Trout Creek Placers). The claim group comprises two titles over 100 acres and extends along 500 meters of Trout Creek on both sides. Trout Creek here flows beside extensive areas of old channel bench and through a large bedrock exposure. A tributary stream also cuts across the claim from the West and descends through this bench area. All of these areas can be worked with ample access to water provided year round.
This claim location is approximately 30 minutes from Summerland that has all services and accommodations. There is a small camp area on the claim itself and numerous nearby staging and camping areas suitable for larger vehicles are available.
